Workshops on Rural Development Policy

In collaboration with Professor Berkeley Hill, professor emeritus at London University, a workshop on rural development policies in the EU and US was held in 2007. A second workshop focusing on the evaluation of rural development policies was held at the OECD headquarters in Paris in June 2009. For more information on this project visit the project website.

International Agricultural Policy Reform and Adjustment

Professor Berkeley Hill and I completed a project on Policy Reform and Agricultural Adjustment in Industrial Countries. Visit the project website for details and information on publications.

Workshop on the Household-Firm Unit

In collaboration with Professor Berkeley Hill, I organized a workshop on the analysis of economic issues at the level of the farm household-firm: Workshop on the Household-Firm Unit: Its Importance in Agriculture and Implications for Statistics.

Financial support for the workshop was provided by the Economic Research Service of the U.S. Department of Agriculture. The workshop website provides access to all the papers; a free CD-Rom containing the papers is also available.

Penn State/ERS Agricultural Trade Model

Professor David Abler of Penn State and I have worked with the Economic Research Service of the U.S. Department of Agriculture to develop a multi-country, multi-commodity model that is used to analyze international trade policy issues in agriculture.
